He is an experienced naturalist, wildlife photographer and pilot. He has a Math degree from Kent State and a Masters in Aeronautics and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Washington.

She is one of the co-organizers of the Women in Herpetology Project. She is also an editor and an author of the Women in herpetology Book: 50 stories from around the world.

She got her undergraduate degree in Lengua y Literaturas de Letras Modernas Italianas at the FFyL-UNAM. She has collaborated in the review, correction, editing and/or translation of several texts for publishers including: Planeta, Santillana, Progreso Edelvives y Almadía; as well as audiovisual and self publishing projects.
